Temat: The Yii blog tutorial is ready
Finally, we have completed the writing of the tutorial on the blog demo. Compared with the Definitive Guide, this tutorial focuses more on developing a complete Web application using Yii. It is thus more suitable as an beginner book to learn Yii. For more details, please check out the Yii blog tutorial. Note, some sections in this tutorial require the upcoming version 1.0.3. If you are using the SVN copy, you should be fine.

Thank you for your comments. Yes, we already realized there is a gap in the documentation that makes it difficult for new users to start using yii. The blog tutorial is perhaps too complex to start with, the definite guide focuses more on defining individual concepts and features, and the cookbook articles are mainly about individual development tasks. What we need is a series of articles describing every details that a new user might need to work with when starting a new Yii application.

Personally I think that the church your children were going to was giving them a bit of an extreme message. I would look for another church that is more open-minded. The church I go to, a Lutheran church if you want to look into it, focuses more on love, community, trust, etc. than the, "If you aren't Christian, you're burning in Hell." I find that message to be really harsh and untrue since God is supposed to be forgiving and all that, so I can't imagine that it's even an issue till you die. :tongue: But honestly, it's perfectly understandable for your daughter to worry about that.
